Citroën Shows a New Electric 2CV

Citroën has a new electric car design based on its classic 2CV. The company hopes to sell it by 2028 for around €15,000.

Citroën showed a new electric car design at the Paris auto show on October 12, 2026. It takes ideas from the classic 2CV. That car's history began in 1948. The new design has a simple look and plenty of room inside.

The car is 3.76 meters long. Citroën wants it to weigh about 1,000 kilograms. The company wants a light, strong car for city travel. It also wants to keep the original car's simple ideas and low price.

The car is not ready for sale yet. Citroën plans to start making it by 2028. The company expects to build it in Europe. It aims for a starting price of around €15,000.
