These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the LevelNews website, mobile applications, and any related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by LevelNews ("we", "our", "us"). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction to consent to the processing of personal data, to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
3. Description of the Service
LevelNews provides news articles that are summarized and re-written by automated systems at multiple English reading levels, along with optional translation and learning aids. The Service is intended for general informational and language learning purposes only.
4. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
All articles, summaries, translations, and learning aids produced by the Service are generated, in whole or in part, by automated systems and artificial intelligence. They may contain errors, omissions, inaccuracies, or interpretations that differ from the original source material. They may also reflect biases present in the underlying models or source data.
The Service is not a substitute for original journalism, certified language instruction, professional translation, legal, medical, financial, or any other professional advice. You must not rely on Service content for any decision that requires professional judgment, and you should always consult the original sources or qualified professionals when accuracy matters.
5. Accounts and Anonymous Use
The Service may be used anonymously through a device-generated installation identifier or, if and when introduced, through a user account. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount, if any, paid by you to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred United States dollars (USD 100). Because the Service is provided free of charge for most users, you acknowledge that this limitation is a fundamental basis of the bargain between you and us.
