Taiwan's TSMC makes chips, the tiny parts inside computers. From July to September 2026, its profit reached 763.1 billion New Taiwan dollars. This was about 69% more than a year earlier. Profit is the money a company keeps after costs. TSMC set a new profit record for the sixth three-month period in a row. Sales rose about 51% to 1.49 trillion New Taiwan dollars.
Customers want more chips for artificial intelligence, or AI. TSMC cannot make enough to meet demand. It sees no sign of slower growth in AI. But it is careful about plans for 2027. Prices for parts are rising. The economy is uncertain, and these things are making some markets difficult.
