Lego is making an official Daft Punk set. It will show the French music pair’s pyramid stage from their 2007 Alive tour. The idea comes from a fan’s Lego model. That model won Lego’s Music to Our Ears contest in 2020.
A father and son from Luxembourg built the first model. They worked on it during the COVID lockdown. Their stage has about 2,000 pieces and lights up. Inside, a motor turns a box of clear Lego bricks. This helps the model look like the real concert stage. Lego’s designers are now working with Patrick Harboun on the official set. He created the fan model and uses the name RobotRock.
Lego’s marketing leader, Julia Goldin, says this project is the start of more work together. Daft Punk also appeared as Lego characters in the 2024 movie Piece by Piece. The movie is about Pharrell Williams. In it, the pair performed “Get Lucky.” Lego plans to share more news about the new set in 2027.
