Daft Punk’s pyramid stage from the 2007 Alive tour is becoming an official Lego set. The product will develop an idea from a fan-built model that won Lego’s Music to Our Ears contest in 2020. It celebrates the concert stage used by the French music duo.
The original model began as a lockdown project during the COVID pandemic for a father and son in Luxembourg. Built with about 2,000 pieces, their glowing stage contains a motor-powered box of transparent bricks. The box rotates to recreate the visual effect of the tour’s stage. Lego’s designers are collaborating with the fan creator, Patrick Harboun, who uses the name RobotRock, to develop the final version.
The partnership may extend beyond this set. Lego’s marketing chief, Julia Goldin, described the announcement as the beginning of a larger creative collaboration. Daft Punk has already appeared in Lego form: the duo performed “Get Lucky” in Piece by Piece, the 2024 animated movie about Pharrell Williams. Lego plans to share further news about the upcoming set in 2027.
