The European Union, or EU, agreed to establish a new team in Lebanon. Soldiers and people outside the army will work together. They could start within months. They will help Lebanon's police and soldiers.
The team will help keep borders and the sea safe. It will also help stop drones, small flying machines with no people inside. The EU still needs to decide the team's exact work, size, and leaders.
United Nations troops help keep peace in Lebanon. Their work is due to end in late 2026. The EU says its team will not replace them. The new team will not work in southern Lebanon. Israel continues to fight Hezbollah there. Iran supports Hezbollah.
