Netflix is making a new show based on the popular video game PUBG. The show will use real actors, not animation. KRAFTON, the company behind the game, announced the project with Netflix.
Donald Glover will play the main part and write the show. He will also direct it and help lead the work on the project. His brother Stephen Glover will write for the show and help lead the project, too. The brothers have worked together before.
In PUBG, 100 players fight to stay alive on an island. At the end, just one person or team wins. Millions of people around the world play the game. KRAFTON wants to bring PUBG into movies and TV through its entertainment business, LV3H.
Glover also made the TV show Atlanta. That show won seven Emmy awards. In a separate project, Netflix is making a show based on the game Assassin’s Creed. It is also making a movie based on Gears of War.
