Rich Eisen hosted SportsCenter again in August. He last hosted it 22 years earlier. ESPN used the show’s old music and graphics. The program had 708,000 viewers, 67% more than its usual audience at 11 p.m. Eastern time.
Eisen also has a video podcast called This Was SportsCenter: Stories from the Set. He talks with people from his old team and uses ESPN’s old videos. The first season started in June on Disney+ and the ESPN app. He plans six new interviews for a second season in 2027.
Eisen worked at ESPN from 1996 to 2003, then joined NFL Network. He still works there. He started The Rich Eisen Show in 2014 and became its owner in December 2019. Its TV network was closing, so he took over the show himself.
The show later moved to Peacock and then Roku. A 2025 agreement brought it to Disney+, ESPN’s online services, and ESPN Radio. His production company produces a weekly program about women’s sports, started by his wife, Suzy Shuster. It started on Roku in 2025 and moved to ESPN in spring 2026.
