Sony Plans a Mouthwashing Movie

Sony plans to turn the scary video game Mouthwashing into a movie. Karyn Kusama is attached to direct it, but it has no release date yet.

Sony Pictures Entertainment plans to make a movie from the scary video game Mouthwashing. Sony bought the rights from Wrong Organ, the game's maker. This means Sony can use the game to make a film. The movie has no release date yet.

Karyn Kusama is attached to direct the movie. She also directed Jennifer's Body and The Invitation. Matt Manfredi and Phil Hay will write it. They also wrote The Invitation, and Scott Derrickson will help make the movie as its producer.

The game tells the story of a crew on a spaceship. Their ship cannot leave, and the crew slowly lose their sense of what is real. The game does not often use sudden surprises to scare players. Instead, it has serious subjects and strange images.

Mouthwashing first came out for PC in 2024. Now people can also play it on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. It is also available through Xbox Game Pass. Players can experience the game's story before the movie comes out.
