The Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge in China is the world’s highest bridge. It stands 2,054 feet above a river. The bridge cuts the trip across the canyon from two hours to two minutes. The project has had about 3.3 million visits.
Visitors can look through glass high above the river. They can walk on a narrow path over the canyon or run on a high track. They can also jump with a strong rope for safety. At night, the bridge has light shows. Tourism was part of the plan from the start.
Nearby areas have had more than 1.48 million visits. Local businesses benefit from easier travel. Hotel rooms are often full on weekends and holidays.
