Netflix is making a new TV show based on the popular game PUBG. The show will use real actors, not animation. Donald Glover will play the main part and write the story. He will also direct the show and help manage the work behind it.
His brother Stephen Glover will work with him. Stephen will write for the show and help lead the work too. The brothers have worked together before. Donald Glover is also known for his TV show Atlanta.
PUBG has millions of players around the world. In the game, 100 people try to stay alive on an island. Only one person or team wins at the end. Atlanta is very different from this game, and it won seven Emmy awards from 26 chances to win.
The company behind PUBG, KRAFTON, wants to bring its game world to films and TV. This show is part of that plan. In a separate project, Netflix is making a show based on the game Assassin's Creed. It is also making a film based on Gears of War.
