Rich Eisen presented SportsCenter again in August after 22 years away. ESPN used the programme’s old music and graphics. About 708,000 people watched it. That was 67% more than the usual audience at 11 p.m. Eastern Time.
Eisen worked at ESPN from 1996 to 2003. He then moved to NFL Network, and he still works there. In 2014, he started The Rich Eisen Show. The daily programme runs for three hours and covers sport and popular entertainment.
In December 2019, Eisen learnt that the television network showing his programme was closing. He became the show’s owner. It later moved to Peacock and then Roku. In 2025, a deal brought it to Disney+, ESPN’s online services and ESPN Radio. Eisen says more people now watch and listen to it.
Eisen also has a video podcast called This Was SportsCenter: Stories from the Set. He talks to people he worked with at ESPN and uses old videos from the company. The first series started in June on Disney+ and the ESPN app. A second series, with six new interviews, is planned for 2027.
