Anthropic is a large artificial intelligence company. It reportedly offered €145,000, or about $190,000, for an assistant in its London office. The person would help senior business leaders.
The work included planning meetings and travel, managing emails, and asking for money back for work costs. The company wanted someone who could work well with others, notice small details and understand teams’ needs early. It also wanted someone who could start work without instructions and avoid mistakes. The company later removed the job post from its website.
People online joked about the job. Anthropic makes AI tools. In theory, an AI tool could do much of this work on its own. Yet the company wanted a person.
