Sal Frelick helped the Milwaukee Brewers win Game 2 of the World Series against the Tampa Bay Rays. Milwaukee was four runs behind but won 5–4. This was the team's second win after falling four runs behind during this year's games to decide the champion.
In the sixth part of the game, called an inning, Frelick faced Rays pitcher Ian Seymour. Seymour threw nine fast pitches to him. Frelick hit the ninth ball over the fence for a home run and made the score 4–4. Cooper Pratt later delivered the final blow.
Frelick hit only four home runs during the regular season, before the games to decide the champion. A right shoulder injury kept him out for six weeks. After he came back, he played less. Young player Luis Lara took some of his playing time.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy said Frelick believes in himself and always wants to win. Frelick is only 5 feet 8 inches tall, and Murphy said he often had to prove his ability. Now Milwaukee has a chance to win its first World Series title.
