Jota played at Celtic Park again on Sunday. The Portuguese player is 27. He joined the game after the first half. Celtic beat Hearts 7-1. A serious knee injury in April 2025 kept him away from soccer for 18 months.
His recovery was not easy. He had difficult feelings during that time. But he says he learned a lot and now feels stronger. He also feels more thankful for his life in soccer.
His love for the game helped him keep working. He wanted to get healthy and did not want to hurry his return. Now he enjoys every chance to train and play. He does not see those months as lost time.
