The British and Irish Lions women's rugby team will play their first match on August 27, 2027. They will face France at Principality Stadium in Cardiff. Jo Yapp is their head coach. She says France will give them a strong challenge before their first trip to play in New Zealand.
The trip starts on September 4 against a Black Ferns XV in Whangarei. They play the Black Ferns in Auckland on September 11. They then face an Invitational XV in Hamilton on September 14. Two more games against the Black Ferns follow. They play in Wellington on September 18 and Christchurch on September 25. Fans can first see the team play at home in Cardiff.
