Leonard Nimoy played Spock in Star Trek. He also hosted In Search Of from 1976 to 1982. The show ran for six seasons and had 144 episodes. Nimoy appeared on screen and spoke about the stories.
The show looked at mysteries. Its subjects included Bigfoot and the Titanic. Each episode began with a warning. Some ideas were guesses. The show did not offer the only possible answers.
In Search Of helped shape later TV shows about strange events. In 2018, the History Channel brought it back with host Zachary Quinto. He also played Spock, in the 2009 Star Trek movie. His time as host lasted 18 episodes, much less than Nimoy’s run.
