Model Heidi Klum arrived at her annual Halloween party in New York dressed as an enormous, bloody hand. The 2026 costume copied her own left hand, including her engagement ring, wedding ring and tattoo of her husband Tom Kaulitz's name. Body scans were used to create its shape.
Klum said the idea came to her last year when she looked at her hand and imagined fitting her body inside a much larger version. Special effects makeup artist Mike Marino helped bring the idea to life. He had previously worked on several of her Halloween costumes.
Kaulitz missed the celebration because he had a concert in Germany. Klum said she would have liked to hold hands with him. Her daughter, Leni Klum, attended as Miss Piggy, wearing pig ears, extra-long eyelashes and a purple feather boa.
The guests also included actors Kyle MacLachlan and Neil Patrick Harris. Harris and his husband, David Burtka, appeared as a pair of frightening twins. The night before the main event, Klum invited a small group to her pizza restaurant in New York's Soho neighborhood. For that gathering, she left the hand costume behind and wore an orange dress with black boots.
