Peggy Sue loses weight and finds a home

Peggy Sue was too heavy to walk easily. After care and exercise, she is lighter and enjoys life with her new family.

Peggy Sue is a bulldog. She weighed 32.5 kilograms when she arrived at an animal centre in Somerset, England, in July. She got too hot and had problems with infections. She fell down after just a few steps. Staff carried her in a large box.

A carer slowly helped her do more exercise. She now weighs 23.5 kilograms. She still exercises and follows a strict food plan.

Peggy Sue found a home during an October event run by the RSPCA animal charity. Her new owners are Emmie and Andy from Taunton. They continued to help her lose weight. She now enjoys walks, car trips and playing in water. She also has a dog friend in her new home.
