Hyatt plans to open a new hotel near Times Square in New York City. Its name is The StandardX Times Square. It will have 1,800 rooms. This will make it Hyatt's biggest hotel in the city and one of New York's biggest hotels.
The hotel will have a swimming pool on the roof. It will also have a place to enjoy the view more than 1,000 feet above the ground. Another attraction will be a ride with a fast drop inside a closed space.
The hotel will be in a very tall building called The Torch. Workers are building it now in Midtown Manhattan. The hotel will have restaurants, bars and places to go out at night. Its rooms and shared spaces will take ideas from New York's theatre life.
Hyatt plans to open the hotel in the second half of 2028. The company says this hotel will be different from its other StandardX hotels. It does not plan to use this hotel as a model for the others.
