Lego is making an official set about Daft Punk, the French music group with two members. The set will show the pyramid stage from their 2007 Alive tour. The idea comes from a fan’s model. That model won a Lego music contest in 2020.
A father and son in Luxembourg made the first model during the COVID lockdown. It has about 2,000 pieces. The stage lights up. Inside it, a motor turns a box of clear bricks. This creates light effects like those at the group’s shows. Lego’s designers are now working with the fan who made it, Patrick Harboun. He uses the name RobotRock.
Daft Punk also appeared as Lego figures in the 2024 film Piece By Piece, about Pharrell Williams. They played their song Get Lucky in the film. Lego’s marketing head, Julia Goldin, said the new set is the start of more work together. Lego has not announced a price or a release date. The company says more news will come in 2027.
