Basketball star Shaquille O’Neal is back at school. He is 54 and has about $500 million. He already has four college degrees. Now he studies crime at Sacramento State University for his fifth degree.
O’Neal left college to play professional basketball. He promised his mother he would finish school. He kept that promise. Now he wants to show his children that people can keep learning at any age.
He says college teaches people to work with others and finish their work. Smart computer programs can give people information. But he says they cannot replace real experience. He also values meeting people who know more and asking them questions.
