Why is it called Mongolian chicken?

Mongolian chicken has little to do with Mongolia. Its name has a link to a man from Beijing.

Mongolian chicken has almost no link to Mongolia. Its name goes back to Wu Zhaonan. He was born in Beijing. His job was to make people laugh. He left China for Taiwan during a war between groups in China. In 1951, he opened a food stall in Taipei.
