The Swedish TV company TV4 has a problem with its version of The Challenge. It lost the finished season about five weeks before the first show. The start date was 22 November. Now viewers must wait until 2027.
The newspaper Aftonbladet said an AI computer programme deleted the season. It said the programme had access to the company's computers. The newspaper did not name the people behind this information. TV4 said a technical problem caused the loss. Its head of programmes, Mia Lindqvist, said AI did not cause it.
The team cannot get the finished season back. Hundreds of days of work are lost. But TV4 still has all the original video. The team must put the show together again.
