American skier Lindsey Vonn says there is a small chance she will race again. She is 41 and has won Olympic gold. She is on the US ski team list for 2026–27. But first, she needs to get better.
Vonn broke her leg in a downhill race at the 2026 Winter Olympics in February. She also hurt her knee badly earlier this year. She had eight operations after the crash. She used a wheelchair for nearly two months.
Vonn says this was the hardest injury of her life. Getting better took longer than usual. She still loves skiing. Past injuries made her want to work harder and return stronger. She has not decided to race again.
