Sky Elements and Damoda put on a week of shows in Texas. They used a total of 71,207 drones, or small flying machines. This beat the earlier world record of 55,939 flights. Teams controlled the shows from one centre in the countryside.
On 28 September 2026, 10,183 drones made a giant blue dragon in the sky. It set a record for the largest picture of a creature from old stories. The previous record used 2,247 drones in the United Arab Emirates in late 2025. Each Texas show used about 10,200 drones, and the team flew them several times a day.
Damoda provided special trays for the drones. The trays held the machines and charged their batteries. After each flight, every drone returned to its own tray by itself. This made the drones easier to store and manage.
A storm caused serious problems on 27 September. However, the shows continued as planned until the final night on 30 September. The team completed five successful shows. Michael Empric, a judge from Guinness World Records, praised this success after difficult weather and long nights.
