Payton Obert received a teddy bear from a charity at 18 months old. It helped her during a difficult time. At eight, she wanted to help other children too. She started selling lemonade in 2018. She raised $768 and used all the money to buy toys for children in hospital.
People near her home in Cincinnati supported her idea. More children started their own lemonade stands to help. The charity has now given children $5 million worth of gifts and things they need. It helps families in Cincinnati and across the country. It gives them toys, food, clothes, books and school supplies.
In 2026, the lemonade stands raised $170,000. New stands opened in West Virginia, Baltimore and New Mexico.
