Avengers: Doomsday Faces Trouble in Editing

The next Avengers film is struggling during post-production. It will still be released on December 18, 2026.

Avengers: Doomsday was expected to be one of Marvel’s biggest films of 2026, along with Spider-Man: Brand New Day. But reports now say the movie is having serious problems during editing.

The film started shooting before the script was fully finished, and that choice is now said to be causing trouble. People close to the production have described the movie as messy, especially because it includes nearly 60 characters whose stories must all fit together.

In the film, Sam Wilson leads a new group of Avengers. They join the Thunderbolts, the Fantastic Four, X-Men, and Wakandans in a fight against Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr. The movie is directed by the Russo Brothers and stars Anthony Mackie, Chris Hemsworth, Florence Pugh, Paul Rudd, Simu Liu, Sebastian Stan, Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, and Letitia Wright.
