One year ago, an Air India flight to London crashed soon after take-off in Ahmedabad. The plane hit a medical college campus. 260 people died.
Investigators still do not know the full reason for the crash. They are still checking flight data, the plane’s systems, engine parts, care records and human action.
A first report said the fuel switches moved to the stop position seconds after take-off. This cut fuel to both engines and caused a total loss of power.
Some people think this may show a pilot action. Others say the crew may have tried to save the plane. There is also a question about an emergency windmill device that gives backup power if both engines fail.
The final report is still not ready.
