France has a message app for public workers called Tchap. It uses safe messages. An online attack hit the app. France’s cyber security office said the app’s safety was broken on 7 June. A government office also started a full check. Officials found the account used in the attack and blocked it. They are still checking what data the attacker may have seen. They also told users that some chat rooms do not use end-to-end message protection. The people in charge did not give a full public explanation about where the attack came from.
