A new report says one ChatGPT plan can be very costly for OpenAI. A user pays 200 dollars a month, but the company can pay about 14,000 dollars when the plan is used a lot. The report also says a similar Claude plan can cost Anthropic about 8,000 dollars in the same case. The problem grows when people use AI tools for long code jobs and other hard tasks. These jobs use a lot of computer power and energy. Some companies now try to use cheaper tools for simple jobs and stronger ones only for harder work. Companies also believe these costs may fall in the future.
