Rockstar Games has now made the pre-order date for Grand Theft Auto VI official, with orders set to open on 25 June. The move marks another step towards a release that has been watched closely for years, and it gives players a first chance to secure the game before launch.
In the opening phase, however, access will be limited to the current console generation. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S owners will be able to place orders from day one. No confirmed timing has yet been given for the PC version, which remains outside the first pre-order window.
Rockstar has also kept its release plan in place for 19 November 2026. After earlier date changes, that November target is still being treated as the final goal. For players who have been waiting for the game’s arrival in its modern Vice City setting, 25 June is the first formal milestone.
